SIN (2013)
Work commissioned by Thomas Noone Dance
The starting point for SIN was the experience of longing. The title of the piece refers to the Spanish word for ‘without’. Through a choreographic language both physical and theatrical, the piece delves into the existential emptiness that lies beneath much of our contemporary world, and explores our inability to establish a meaningful contact with the reality that surrounds us and those who inhabit it.
This creation talks precisely about this: affections and ties, tenderness and identity. Almost corroborating that distance does no more than enhancing the most authentic experiences amongst everything we live...
